SOLON, Ohio(BUSINESS WIRE)Solon, Ohio-based Plastics Machinery Group (PMG) is expanding its product offerings by adding injection molding equipment to its inventory and hiring a dedicated sales team to market that equipment in the United States and around the world.
PMG currently sells thermoforming, extrusion, blowing molding and rotational molding equipment and a variety of new and used ancillary equipment used in plastics processing. The company also offers a number of other services, including appraisals, merger and acquisition consulting and remanufacturing.
The plastics equipment dealer, which has offices in Ohio, England, Italy and India, is adding four sales specialists who will be tasked with finding and selling the highest quality injection molding equipment the world has to offer. PMG also will offer injection molding appraisal, M&A consulting and remanufacturing services for injection molding equipment as well.
“PMG is excited to expand it equipment portfolio by adding injection molding machinery,” said PMG President Donald Kruschke. “This is the final piece needed in reinforcing PMG’s status as the industry’s premier equipment dealer. We now offer the full range of plastics processing equipment.”
What distinguishes PMG from other dealers is quality, Kruschke said. This includes quality of equipment, and quality of the relationships it builds.
“I’ve been in this business for more than 25 years and the industry is built on relationships,” Kruschke said. “PMG isn’t going to sacrifice a relationship over a sale. If a machine isn’t appropriate for one of our business partners or is lacking in quality, our sales team is going to advise the client that there may be a better alternative that will benefit them more in the long run.
“The equipment PMG sells will not be the run-of-the-mill, middle-of-the-road, subpar used equipment that some injection molding machinery dealers don’t give a second thought to selling. That’s just not how we do business.”
In addition to the new equipment it will be selling, PMG will also use its nearly 30 years of market data and intelligence to create unique industry partnerships through its M&A consulting services. “PMG doesn’t want to bring just any two companies together,” Kruschke said. “We want to bring the right two companies together.”
This is the second PMG expansion in the last two years. In 2013, PMG launched PMG International Ltd., an England-based operation that offers a variety of services to the European companies in the plastics industry. PMG International sells a full spectrum of new and used plastics processing equipment, including injection molding, thermoforming, blow molding, extrusion, and now, injection molding machinery. The firm also provides merger and acquisition expertise, consulting and technical support. Initial success of this unit spearheaded the addition of international sales offices in Italy and India.

Plastics Machinery Group has its roots in the well-known plastics equipment dealer Stopol, Inc. President Donald Kruschke helped found Stopol in 1990 with his father and brother. Stopol began as a dealer of used plastics equipment with just three employees. Over the years, the company expanded its capabilities to include auction services, liquidations, appraisals, and merger and acquisition consulting. In 2009, Kruschke acquired four Stopol divisions – Thermoforming, Extrusion, Blowing Molding and Rotational Molding – and they now operate under the name Plastics Machinery Group.
